No school on Monday -- many in town still without power and won't get it back till Thursday.

All the snow melted. Will be sunny and in the 40's the rest of the week! The ground is still soggy, will be for a while.
The tree mess is still here. It will be weeks before the service can come and clean it all up, they are booked solid due to the storm.

This weekend - ideal weather! I am in a cleaning out mood!

Winter Storm

We lost power Thursday night due to high winds and torrid rains (thank goodness not snow) but at least it was 40 degrees out unlike the ice storm of Dec 08 when we froze.
Friday we cleaned up the light debris from the few tall pine trees that fell.
What a mess! Our neighbors had no mess. We will have to call for some professional help to remove the heavy stuff.

I missed the Ladies skate at the Olympics since it went out just as that was about to begin.
Power went on at 1 am Saturday morning (snowing this time) only for us to lose it again Saturday evening at dinner time. It is now back on, but who knows what will happen next.

At least the temps will be warm to melt the six inches of snow that fell.
But not warm enough to warm up the soggy ground -- that will be with us for a few weeks.

Daylight savings is coming up and spring is a few weeks away!

It was really nice out on Sunday, sun, above freezing.
The storm did not come this far north so we got a few flakes but no accumulation to shovel.
Thank goodness for that!
Daylight Savings time in a few weeks and spring in another month.
However, we have had freak snow storms in May around here.
Let's hope it is not a delayed winter.
