Since it was our wedding anniversary on Friday, this is the memorable song I walked down the aisle to.  "Through the Eyes of Love" from the movie Ice Castles.  Originally sung by Melissa Manchester.
Words & Music by Carole Bayer Sager & Marvin Hamlisch.
This is a lovely piano solo.

And another memory of our wedding day -- we borrowed my brother's fancy car to get me to the church on time.  Then by accident, I left my purse in the car.  The purse had two items in it.  Two of my brothers had a pledge dance that evening and left right after the reception to go.  On their way to the dance, they picked up four other guys.  So one of the guys in the back seat, ends up with a freak bloody nose and they are frantic for a tissue and decide to open my purse.  Well all I had in there was a sample tube of lipstick and a regular O.B. tampon.  So they unwrapped the tampon and plugged up his nose with the string hanging down till they got to the dance hall.  I got my purse back minus the tampon but with the funny story.

Now another nice memory of the above story was my Mom was in the hospital and she got a card from some waitresses at a diner she and my Dad frequented.  The card had a cartoon of a older waitress taking an order but mistakened a tampon for a pencil. She had one in her ear also. I told my Mom that it reminded me of my wedding day and she said she had forgotten the story but she laughed and laughed and laughed so hard considering how sick she was and that she was dying.  My Dad had been sitting glumly by the bed and he just lite right up hearing her laugh like this, the laughter he heard for over 50 years.  The next day she died during a blizzard.
However, we are so glad she had a good laugh and sunshine with us the day before.
