There is lots to do in the state of New Hampshire all year long.

We actually have three seasons, Winter which runs into Summer then Fall.
Spring is either still winter or summer early. Just joking, sometimes we can't tell.  It can snow here as late as May!

If you are an educator, you can take a variety of recertification classes at UNH/University of New Hampshire in Durham, Plymouth State University in the northern region, or Keene State College in the southwestern region of the state.  Taking classes elsewhere is a good excuse for a fun but educational vacation.  There are many other private colleges also that have summer programs.

There is no sales tax!
On Golden Pond was filmed at Lake Winnisquam, Holderness/Ashland area.
The beginning of The Bob Newhart Show (when he owned the Inn), the road was filmed at an intersection in Holderness.
Olympic skiier Bode Miller hails from northern NH. 
Astronaut Alan Shepard came from Derry.
SNL's Adam Sandler comes from Manchester.
SNL/comedian Jimmie Fallon just proposed to his girlfriend in Wolfboro (oldest resort town in America (so the town sign says) on Lake Winnepesaukee, summer 2007!

Manchester and Portsmouth have airports!
NH is less than an hour from Boston, so fly in!
Portland, Maine is an hour north from the NH seacoast.
